How To Hibachi: Soy Ginger Tofu Bites

Soy Ginger Tofu Bites

 Ingredient List:

  • 1 block firm tofu (1 lb) 
  • 1T sesame oil
  • 1T soy sauce
  • 1T rice vinegar
  • 1T yumyum sauce
  • 1t ginger
  • salt/pepper/cayenne to taste
  • Nutritional yeast (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Press tofu in towel to remove excess moisture
  2. Meanwhile prepare Marinade by combining sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, yumyum sauce, ginger, salt/pepper/cayenne
  3. Cut tofu into 1" - 2" cubes and place in marinade for 2 hours
  4. Prepare hot griddle, drain excess marinade and sear tofu in sesame oil.  
  5. Pro Tip: toss in nutritional yeast after draining for extra crisp!
  6. Turn frequently until crispy!  Approx 10 minutes.
