WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS. Countless of our brethren have been seriously injured, burned and even killed while attempting this trick. While this trick hovers around a 2 on difficulty, it is a full blown 10 on danger! You've been warned and assume all risk of injury or death if you continue reading.
Ingredient List:
- 1 large onion
- 1 bottle water
- 4T 80 proof (or higher) liquor
- Lighter
Instructions:
- Prepare a hot griddle using the middle burner only.
- Meanwhile cut onion into 4 sections. You will be using either of the middle 2 sections.
- On the cooler part of grill, stack onion slices on top of each other using a spatula and fork. Be careful to have a "seal" between each layer... you do not want voids, gaps or openings. The effectiveness of the seal will be dependant upon the quality of the slices you made in step 2.
- Seriously, do not read any further.
- Carefully move the volcano to the hot part of the grill and add 4T liquor.
- Light the volcano at once. 4T of liquor should burn for ~15 seconds.
- Pro Tip: For a steam finish, add water to the liquor before lighting. When the liquor burns off, your volcano will go from flame to steam!
